METS' mandate is to provide relevant valued services to adults whose primary disability is an intellectual disability through training, personal development, community placement and employment.
AGENCY BASED SERVICES
Agency based services offer long term activity and training within METS facilities. It features group-based work and personal development activity as well as individualized training all under the supervision of METS staff.
Within this division we have four separate departments. The only service variance from department to department is the type of activities performed in each.

AGENCY BASED PROGRAMS
● WORK ACTIVITY SERVICES - provides a structured, productive environment using real work activity as the primary training tool. The work activity provided is intended to be labor intensive and, in many cases, is completed by teams of people working together.
BC Innovations - A light industrial environment with activity provided. Activities include mail-outs, packaging, assembly work, production of buttons, etc.
Moncton Pallet - An industrial environment with activity provided in a warehouse setting. Activities include the production of pallets and survey stakes, use of industrial equipment, etc.
The Right Choice Catering - A food service environment with activity provided in various settings which include kitchen, stock room, and banquet hall. Activities include food preparation, banquet setup, etc. This department also provides opportunities for supported employment.
● COMMUNITY FACILITATION SERVICES
- Long Term Community Based Activity: This service is designed to provide long term community activity supports to individuals. In most cases this is 1- 1.
Community Facilitator: This position supports individuals through Community Connections to achieve social integration in the community. Support is provided on a 1-1 basis with the intent being for the person to develop independent relationships and connections in their community.
● PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT SERVICES
- provides a structured, active daily schedule using activity and volunteerism as the primary vehicle to address the developmental needs of those served in this division. In addition to the need for activity and training, many clients of this service need higher levels of behavioral support and personal care including; hygiene, meal and toileting assistance.
Personal Development Activity - Persons within these groups are offered a full day of activity not featuring work. Group based activity is offered in the following categories: academic/education, leisure, recreation, self help, social, life management, communication, health and physical activities.
Volunteer Work Activity - In addition to those personal development activities already identified, persons in these groups also participate in volunteer work activity. This program offers free support to not-for-profit agencies and groups in the Greater Moncton area.
METS
Moncton Employment & Training Services, Inc.
This division of METS provides employment services for persons with "Intellectual Disabilities" as well as persons with "Brain Injury". These services are facilitated through a variety of means and based on individual need and are available to all individuals residing in the southeast region of New Brunswick.
Our SERVICE DEVELOPMENT AGENCY division supports families in obtaining appropriate services. This is facilitated through a variety of means including the marketing of METS services and facilitating intake procedures necessary for individuals to access services.
